The dream of my life
Is to lie down by a slow river
And to stare in the light of the trees-
To learn something by being nothing
A little while but the rich
Lens of attention.
~Mary Oliver, excerpt from Entering the Kingdom
Before the next and final post in the emotional processing theme (which is on grief), I decided to take a breather. Delving deep into the emotions this month was a big journey for me. This deeper processing, coupled with what is currently happening in the world, was a lot to hold. This post is a respite from this weight. It allows me some freedom in my writing and to focus on two of my resources, walking in nature and enjoying community art.
Resources are those things that ground us, that fill us up. They are things we can hold onto when we struggle. In this post, I need to be drawn out of my inner landscape into mindfulness, and into the beauty of the beginning of early spring. I have taken some photographs to try to capture my daily walks. So many lovely, simple things that bring joy on these walks.
